Autumn is a professional social worker who graduated from Aurora University with her Master’s in Social Work. She is currently working towards her L.C.S.W licensure. Autumn enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults through individual, family and couples therapy modalities. She has experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, PTSD, dissociative disorders, trauma, spirituality, life transitions, and relational problems.
Autumn is an energetic therapist who started her career as a case manager for adolescents in the LGBTQ comunity helping them learn to advocate for themselves and preparing them for future employment. Autumn also interned for an agency where she co-facilitated an all male perpetrator group and completed her Domestic Violence and Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) training.
As a therapist, Autumn believes in empowering her clients to recognize and build on their own strengths, abilities and resources while they assume greater responsibility for their choices and solutions. Her approach focuses on improving problem solving skills, identifying and setting appropriate limits and boundaries in life, and strengthening self advocacy.
I believe therapy is about helping you sort out the problem, rally your strengths, and learn the skills needed to move forward in your life. It can take incredible courage to recognize when help is needed, and then ask for that help. When you know you are ready, I will welcome the opportunity to work with you on your goals in an atmosphere of respect and support.
